Sage is a beautiful, perfectly correct little mare who should mature to HUGE potential.  Long legged, we expect her to be around 16hh when mature.  She has been handled exclusively with natural horsemanship techniques and is already showing a willing attitude and a beautiful spirit.  She was imprint trained at birth, so she already leads and lifts her feet nicely.  She loves children, standing in the pasture to be groomed by them on a regular basis.  She has been exposed to dogs, poultry and any manner of scary objects, but is not jumpy or nervous.   

Ebony, Sage's mother is out of the well known QH stallion, Mr. Loverige.  She has a natural extended trot, so she excels in dressage.  She is wonderful on the trail and is so cowy that she cuts cattle either with or without a rider.  I plan to ride Ebony, my most talented mare in the Wind River Challenge next May.  Although we will probably breed Ebony again, we will not do so for at least 1 year.  And as good as her mother is, we expect Sage to be better, with her wonderful personality and attitude, her size and her athletic ability.  Sage's sire, Red Comanche Moon comes from well known halter and performance bloodlines.  We are located in the Durham Bridge area, just outside of Fredericton.  Sage will be ready to be weaned from her Mom in early October and while we hate to sell her, we cannot keep all of our horses, and we intend to sell 1-2 foals each year, the funds going toward our childrens' education.  

We are asking $1,500 firm for this little mare - and know this is a bargain.  Her buyer is sure to be thrilled with her.  We include 1/2 price training for all of our horses when buyers return them to Hidden Brook Farm for training when they are 1 and 2 years of age.
